What are composite veneers, and how do they compare with porcelain?
Composite veneers are tooth-coloured resin bonded directly onto the tooth and shaped by hand in a single visit. They cost less than porcelain, need little or no drilling, and a chip can usually be repaired rather than replaced.
How does saliva protect your teeth?
Saliva neutralises the acids that cause decay, rinses away food and bacteria, and carries the calcium and phosphate that repair early enamel damage. When saliva drops, cavity risk climbs sharply.
When do babies start teething, and how can you help?
Most babies start teething between four and seven months, usually with the bottom front teeth. Drooling, sore gums and disturbed sleep are normal. A high fever is not, and needs a doctor.
Is there anything else worth reading?
